Working at Cell Medica

We strive to be the leading provider of cellular immunotherapy products for the treatment of blood- and solid cancers (oncology) and infections following hematopoietic stem cell transplantations (immune reconstitution). Our mission is to develop products and therapies that will transform the lives of patients.

Our products harness the natural power of the human immune system to fight cancer and post haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) infections without the risk of severe side effects that come with conventional anti-viral drugs or chemotherapy.

As we grow, we are looking for people who share our passion and want to be part of an exceptional team who are working to unlock the full potential of this powerful new scientific technology. We know that it is only by having right people working together in the right environment, that we will achieve our goal.

Our culture is built on a foundation of innovation, dedication and curiosity. Everyone who works here is responsible for shaping our growing organization and creating an environment where collaboration can thrive.

Our inspiration comes from the pioneering work we do every day and what we know we’ll achieve in the future. We are committed to improving patient outcomes through state-of-the-art technology and the latest scientific insight.

At Cell Medica we know that no challenge is too great as we push ourselves to be an industry-leading organization at the forefront of cellular immunotherapy.

To help Cell Medica continue to grow, we recognize and reward people who are prepared to stretch themselves and aspire to be even better.

Everyone has a shared responsibility for making our organization successful. To support this, we offer highly competitive salaries, a range of benefits and make sure everyone’s contribution is recognized.

Shreenal Patel, Clinical Operations Manager, UK

I joined Cell Medica as a CRA looking for an opportunity in translational research with a scope to make a difference and the chance to contribute to a new and developing area of therapy. Five years on I am now the clinical operations manager involved in running clinical trials with the honour of not only being involved in project management and supporting various other areas of the company but also having interaction and the chance to provide an important service to clinicians. It has been and continues to be  a great learning experience working at Cell Medica – a place which is ever growing and a chance to work in a dynamic field surrounded constantly by some truly fantastic minds! At Cell Medica I believe every individual brings a unique set of skills and attributes to the table which when combined and faced with forging new avenues  these combination have resulted in growth, expansion, new learning and the drive to meet the ultimate goal for us all in providing new therapies for patients.

Oumar Diouf, GMP Manager, US

I joined Cell Medica in November 2012 from Baylor College of Medicine as Head of Manufacturing for the US. I have enjoyed my role to get our manufacturing activities started and I have been happy to take on new responsibilities as my role slightly morphed.

I love the people at CM – I work within a great team, and feel valued by each and every one of them, from administrators all the way up to VPs.  I have colleagues that I aspire to be like in terms of career and experience. Everyone is recognized for their contribution to the success of CM. There is no divide between senior management and the rest of the team, which creates a great working environment.

I appreciate the culture in the fact that we work hard but enjoy it, while making a difference in patients’ lives.

Jana Grund, Mfg Associate, DE

I have worked at Cell Medica since July 2012 in the GMP-production department.  I decided to work here because I was impressed by Cell Medica’s engagement with cancer patients and their work to support the treatment and prevention of this illness.  Cell Medica develops and uses outstanding technologies such as magnetic cell selection and purification of cells with closed unit operations, so there was an opportunity to be part of something special.

At Cell Medica I had the opportunity to learn new analysis methods with flow cytometry. For me, it is interesting to work in a new field and to gain experience in immunology.

My personal development was supported from the start as a production employee. In 2014 I took on the additional role of deputy head of production and I will receive further training in this area in September.

All my colleagues are very supportive, friendly and helpful. It is always a pleasure to work with them.

Cell Medica staff always receive helpful feedback from our management team. The company takes care of each and every employee and always considers their requests and suggestions.
